(Home Equity Conversion Mortgage)
The HECM is the most common type of reverse mortgage and the only one insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). Available to homeowners 62 and older, it allows you to convert a portion of your home's equity into tax free funds while continuing to live in and own your home. Funds can be used to pay off an existing mortgage, supplement retirement income, or provide greater financial flexibility.
The Platinum Reverse Mortgage is a private jumbo reverse mortgage designed for homeowners 55 and older in many states, particularly those with higher-value homes. It offers expanded borrowing potential beyond traditional FHA limits and can provide access to more home equity while allowing you to remain in your home without required monthly mortgage payments.
(Home Equity Conversion Mortgage)
HECM for Purchase allows eligible homeowners 62 and older to buy a new primary residence using a reverse mortgage. By combining the proceeds from the sale of your current home or other available funds with the reverse mortgage, you can purchase your next home with no required monthly mortgage payments, making it a popular option for downsizing, relocating, or moving closer to family while preserving cash flow.
The Choice Reverse Mortgage is a private reverse mortgage designed for eligible homeowners 55 and older in many states. It offers greater flexibility than a traditional HECM and can be an excellent option for borrowers who don't yet meet the FHA age requirement or are looking for alternative lending solutions. Depending on the program, funds may be available as a lump sum or a line of credit.
